Ping G15 from Ping Golf Hong Kong

The Ping G15 Driver is no available at www.golfshophongkong.com. It's one of the 2010 Golf Digest Gold hot lists awards belongs to the Ping G15 drivers. The Ping G15 drivers are some of the longest hitting drivers for Hong Kong golfers wanting to play better golf at clubs like Hong Kong Golf Club.

When Ping golf Hong Kong made the G15 series of drivers there is no way that all of the Ping G15 driver owners could expect a better golf club for playing Hong Kongs best golf clubs such as Clearwater Bay and Discovery Bay Golf Club. To begin with, we have to be honest with our Hong Kong golfers reading this. Up until the last couple of years, many Hong Kong golfers were skeptical of any Ping driver. In fact before the Ping G10 driver, the only other Ping drivers that we could remember were the old wooded head ones!

What happened at Ping golf Hong Kong recently? They finally decided to produce some good drivers to go along with their well known irons. The Ping G15 drivers are going to continue taking them to the top of list for golf drivers. We had the chance to hit the Ping G15 driver at the Hong Kong driving range the other night. But before we give you our feelings on the Ping G15 drivers, here's the technology.

Ping really concentrated on the weighting and size. Ping Hong Kong created an external sole weight pad for the G15 drivers that produced the best launch angle and spin ratios for a driver. This external sole weight pad takes the center of gravity away from the face and lower in the golf club resulting in more forgiveness and longer shots. With a club face measuring in at 460cc, the Ping G15 drivers are very forgiving for playing golf in Hong Kong. In addition to this large titanium head, Ping designed the head larger in the front and slightly smaller in the rear. This allowed the club head to be lighter and more weight on the external sole plate. Another key reason for having a large titanium face is that it creates a faster ball speed across the entire face of the club.

Golf Shop Hong Kong had the opportunity to hit the new Ping G15 driver at the driving range. After hitting the driver for some time we concluded that we liked it! The head is definitely big but when you see the long shots you get from it, the size won't bother you! Another thing that we liked about the Ping G15 driver was that it had a nice sound to it, something every golfer in Hong Kong wants. Buy the TaylorMade Superfast in Hong Kong

Golf Shop Hong Kong now carries the TaylorMade Superfast Driver. Three years after unveiling Burner 07, the most successful driver in TaylorMade history, the No. 1 driver company in golf is unveiling the next generation of this phenomenal franchise, named simply Burner SuperFast. Weighing just 284 grams (an astounding 14 grams less than the Burner 07 and Burner 09 drivers), Burner SuperFast is a speed demon, designed to deliver increased clubhead speed and superior distance for the Hong Kong golfer.

The Burner SuperFast driver’s improved performance starts with a new 460cc clubhead shape that’s sleeker and more aerodynamic than past Burner drivers from TaylorMade Hong Kong. This new head also boasts high MOI for tremendous forgiveness, and incorporates the largest clubface of any TaylorMade driver. Measuring an expansive 4,500 square millimeters, the new clubface is 14% larger than Burner 09’s clubface. The larger face is important in light of the fact that the longer club-length of Burner drivers, like Burner SuperFast, makes it more challenging for the average player to make square contact consistently, and the larger face gives them more area to strike the ball with.

The Burner SuperFast face also features a new bulge and roll design that’s optimized to work with the higher MOI head to maximize forgiveness on off-center hits. Finally, the clubface incorporates TaylorMade’s renowned Inverted Cone Technology, which promotes faster ball speed on off-center hits.

The Burner SuperFast driver also incorporates TaylorMade’s proven Dual-Crown technology, which both lowers and pulls back the center of gravity to promote a higher launch angle and increased spin. Introduced in the TaylorMade Tour Burner driver two years ago, and also used in the Burner 09, Dual Crown technology is tremendously valuable.

Longer, Lighter Shaft Promotes Higher Launch
Also critical to the Burner SuperFast driver’s performance is its Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft, which is both ultra-light and tip-soft, helping the golfer generate more ball speed, a higher launch angle and more spin to promote more distance. And at 46.5″ in length, Burner SuperFast automatically promotes a wide and fast swing arc.

Burner SuperFast: Our Lightest Driver Ever
Another vital upgrade to the Burner SuperFast is the new Winn Lite grip that weighs just 30 grams, which is a full 14 grams lighter than the Burner 09’s grip, yet it sacrifices nothing in terms of feel and traction. It’s a critical component to our overall quest to make this club, at 284 grams, the lightest driver we’ve ever produced.

Put every element of our newest version of SuperFast technology together and you’ve got a driver that screams through the hitting zone to promote more pop at impact for more clubhead speed and distance than any Burner driver ever has, and that’s saying something. The best news is that all players can take advantage of Burner SuperFast’s speed and distance benefits, as the driver will also be available in a ladies version in its own color palette.

Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club Hong Kong

The green on Hole 16 of Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club is settled under a steep natural slope upon where the 14th tee is perched. The tongue makes the green long so be sure to accurately determine the pin location. The prevailing wind will push the ball towards the bunker and drop off on the right.

Hole 17: The To carry the bunker requires a precise 250-yard tee shot against the prevailing wind. The landing area must be on the right half of the fairway otherwise the natural slope of the fairway will take the ball into the left pot bunker. The second shot will leave a mid to long iron into a two tier green with some protection from a raised back edge. Any shot that misses the green left, right or long will leave a tricky chip for the penultimate hole at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club

Hole 18 The journey home concludes with one last test of discipline and shot making. From the back tees only take on the bunker and dogleg if you can carry the ball 300+ yards, otherwise aim 20-30 yards right of it. One must be 100% committed as this blind landing area is narrowed by the ravine that comes into play. Keep the second shot short of the deep pot bunker in the middle of the fairway. The approach will test your club selection and accuracy as the green is severely elevated and features three tiered sections.
